The Missional Engagement Team serves to connect congregations and disciples with their local communities and the world at large. They work to resource, equip and connect churches together and to their communities in order to better engage in missional outreach. While working with traditional work areas of Disaster Response Ministry, the Mission Response Center, Building Teams, and other historically related ministries, the mission engagement team also seeks to encourage new and creative ways of building relationships with the least, the last and the lost.
If you are interested in some local organizations who are very involved, check out The Coalition for Christ in Stanly County, Hammers For Christ in Rowan County, and Helping Hands Community Outreach in Davidson County. All of these groups provide opportunities on a monthly basis to get people involved in their own communities. The three primary goals of the Missional Engagement Team are to offer leadership, promote connection, and provide communication for each church in the Uwharrie District.
