Uwharrie Summer Clergy Fellowship Events

posted on May 16

Summer is a time that many people rest, take some time off, and enjoy a slower pace. Many church schedules slow down and clergy time time to plan and prepare for the upcoming fall (and even for Advent). This summer, the Uwharrie District is hosting some opportunities for clergy to gather for a time of fellowship, play, and rest.

On Friday, June 24, clergy will meet at City Lake Park in Albemarle for paddle boarding/kayaking and a picnic. Bring a paddleboard or kayak if you have one, but we will have plenty to share and allow folks to try them out. If getting out on the water is not your thing, we’d still love for you to come picnic with us and enjoy some time by the water!

On Friday, July 22, clergy will meet at High Rock Lake Ministry where Bart Milleson will take us out on the lake in the pontoon boat. Space is limited on the boat, but Bart will be making several trips out to an island and back for us to enjoy some time on the water. We will ask for RSVP’s for this event, so be on the lookout for more information.

On Friday, August 19, we hope to meet in Salisbury at the Grievance Gallery, where we will be able to take out our pent-up tension and frustrations by breaking glass, plates, etc! More information to come!

We invite clergy to place these dates on your calendar. Please contact Katie Lineberger with questions or to RSVP.
